Clubby Awards Banquet was held March 22, 2011!

Boys & Girls Clubs of Mitchell County celebrated National Boys & Girls Club Week March 20-26. This was an exciting week for thousands of local clubs and millions of youth served nationwide. Club members were involved in many exciting activities that were designed to inform other youth, parents, and the entire community about the numerous programs and services that the Club offers. National Boys & Girls Club Week helped us show how our Club kids can BE GREAT!

As a part of the celebration, some of our Club members were placed in the spotlight and honored for their hard work and dedication to the Club during our annual Clubby Awards Banquet. Children received awards for excelling in the core areas of Character & Leadership Development, Education & Career Development, Health & Life Skills, Sports, Fitness, & Recreation, and The Arts during the 2010 Membership Year. This event was held on March 22nd, 2011 at 6:00 p.m.

in the Multi-Purpose Room inside the Teen Center.

The announcement of our 2011 Pelham and Teen Center Youths of the Year as well as the Corporate Youth of the Year was made! The Youth of the Year will travel to the State Youth of the Year competition on March 24th - 26th.

12th Annual Benefit Yard Sale

Mrs. Deborah Sanders will host the 12th Annual Benefit Yard Sale on

Friday, April 6th through Saturday, April 7th, 2012

Mark your calendars and please donate any unwanted items!

Items may be dropped off at the home of Mrs. Sanders at 3910 Old Pelham Road, Camilla, GA 31730 or the Boys & Girls Clubs of Mitchell County Teen Center.

All proceeds from the Sale are donated to the American Heart Association, the Boys & Girls Clubs of Mitchell County, and the Mitchell County Food Bank.

A SPECIAL "Thanks" goes to Mrs. Deborah Sanders for her dedication to these organizations and to the community!
