Boys & Girls Clubs of Mitchell County celebrated National Boys & Girls Club Week April 15-21. This was an exciting week for thousands of local clubs and millions of youth served nationwide. Club members were involved in many exciting activities that were designed to inform other youth, parents, and the entire community about the numerous programs and services that the Club offers. Each of the Units, including members, staff, and parents, gathered at a different club each day of BGC Week to celebrate the occasion. The BGC Week kick-off was hosted by Jester Unit. Club members enjoyed wearing their "Club" colors and participating in various games. Balloons filled the sky to tell everyone about Boys & Girls Clubs of Mitchell County! The Camilla Unit hosted Poetry Night; club members and staff enjoyed sharing their favorite poems. The Pelham Unit hosted Spaghetti & Bingo Night, and the Grand Finale was a Fashion & Talent Show hosted by the Teen Center where our awesome club members showed off their style and shared their creativity!
National Boys & Girls Club Week helped us show how our Club kids can BE GREAT!
Thank you to everyone who made BGC Week a huge success!!!
