UPCOMING YOUTH OF THE YEAR COMPETITION
The Jester and Teen Center Units for the Boys & Girls Clubs of Mitchell County will be competing in our local "Youth of the Year" program. One member from each unit will be selected based on how they have served the Clubs in which they hold memberships, as well as the communities in which they live. Established in 1947, the Boys & Girls Club of America "Youth of the Year" program recognizes Club members who, with the help of their Club, have met personal challenges head-on and despite the odds, have given back in thankfulness.
Youth of the Year winners have demonstrated service to Club, community, and family; academic success; strong moral character; life goals; and poise and public speaking ability. These high achievers personify the values and character of their hometown Club. For the Boys & Girls Clubs of Mitchell County, this is an opportunity for local members to compete on a national level at the annual Youth of the Year Competition in Atlanta, GA. The winner of the Youth of the Year competition on January 15, 2015 will be selected to compete and have the chance to gain National recognition for their Club and their hard work. The winner will be announced after the competition.
Boys & Girls Clubs of Mitchell County's Audit and 990 Form are available to view upon request in the
Administrative Office at 144 South Harney Street, Camilla, GA 31730.
