Boys & Girls Clubs of Mitchell County is conducting a community-wide social marketing campaign, “Be the Wall”, in Camilla and Thomasville. The initial goal of the program is to reduce the early onset of alcohol use among 9-20 year olds. The basic message behind this campaign is to ask adults to “Be the Wall” between Teens and Alcohol. We want adults to be familiar with the brick wall image and remind them that when they say one thing, teens might hear another; so when it comes to teens and alcohol, Be Clear, Be Firm, and Be Consistent. ALCOHOL is a drug and underage drinking is illegal.
